Milorad Katnić is an Associate Professor of International Economics and Public Finance at the Faculty of International Economics, Finance, and Business at UDG. He has presented at prestigious institutions such as Harvard’s Kennedy School of Government, the London School of Economics, and The George Washington University’s Elliott School of International Affairs, addressing topics like the global economic crisis and economic development.

With over 20 years of experience in leadership roles within the public and financial sectors, his notable positions include:

• Minister of Finance in the Government of Montenegro,
• Chairman of the Board of Directors of Societe Generale Bank Montenegro,
• Member of the Board of Directors of SKB Slovenia,
• Public Policy Researcher at the Institute for Strategic Studies and Prognoses.

As a state representative, he served on the Administrative Council of the Development Bank of the Council of Europe and was a Governor at the World Bank-International Bank for Reconstruction and Development and the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development. He has also contributed as a Senior Expert on numerous projects for international institutions such as UNDP, the Center of Excellence in Finance, the Regional Cooperation Council, and PwC.

Katnić has authored numerous scientific and professional papers published in domestic and international journals, covering topics such as economic growth, fiscal crises, tax systems, and public expenditure. He has participated in various expert conferences and study tours locally and internationally. Additionally, he has completed advanced training programs, including at Harvard’s J.F. Kennedy School of Government. He is a member of the Committee for Economic Sciences, Demography, and Anthropology of the Montenegrin Academy of Sciences and Arts (CANU) and the international Monte Pelerin Society. Katnić also served as a member of the Young Scientists’ Center of the Montenegrin Academy of Sciences and Arts.
